It was such a windy day for our session, so we made it as quick as possible. I think with the wind it was about 35 degrees, so I had warm thoughts in my mind and we tried to soak up as much sun as possible. Of course, at the same time trying to avoid the wind. As quick as we were, we were able to get some really awesome shots of the Galovich Family and I was glad I was able to capture their memories. Thanks Jim and Janae

About 2 days before the shoot, I was contacted by the soon to be husband (well not yet) because he wanted to let me know that he was going to be proposing at our session. I was given the great honor of being asked to photograph the NCAPM event in Sacramento on April, 1, 2011. This was a great day including a wonderful luncheon, a fun safety fair for children and their familes, followed by a fantastic dinner. Marc Klass was in attendance for the heartfelt day. This beautiful couple were friends long before they fell in love, or was it love at first sight. The happiest place on earth is THEIR happiest place too. That is where Kevin proposed, not in front of Cinderella's Castle like everyone else, but if my memory serves me it was on the Tower of Terror. They had rode that ride so many times Kevin new just exactly how many seconds he had to say those words, Margaret says yes and the ring is on the finger, before they take off into darkness. They actually snapped a picture of Margaret and Kevin on the ride and you guessed it the ring was on and she was showing the finger. Happiness Forever for my new couple.

The "Red Carpet" was rolled out and Stila Cosmetics was there in style. 100's came for make-overs from professional artists from all over California. The Stila Cosmetics rep, Tracy was awesome in putting together such a fine event. As the "models" were polished from their make-overs I was there to capture the memories for everyone.

Portraiture: What to wear for your session...

Portraiture: What to wear…...

Clothing ideas…

We want you to be the focus of your portraits, not your arms and legs. If dark colored pants are your choice then everyone should being wearing dark pants, the same being for light colored pants as well. If you choose light-colored shirts, then everyone’s shirts should be light colors. Avoid logos and patterns. Solid colors, long-sleeved shirts and long pants are best.

The wardrobe you choose should be simple and classic, this will bring a sense of elegance and class to your portraits. Some ideas: All black; denim & khaki; white or cream & khaki; black & khaki. It is also great to have the women in one color of shirt and the men in another complimentary colored shirt.

Hair and Make-up…

Women: Apply makeup a little heavier than normal and some color to the cheeks and lips. Don’t change your hairstyle just before your session, style your hair as you normally would. Moist lips also make it easier to make wonderful smiles.

Men: Make sure you have a fresh shave. A five o’clock shadow is difficult to remove.
Hands: Make sure hands and nails look finished. Nice clean or polished nails photography well. Use hand lotion prior to your session.

Babies and Children…

We shoot in a candid photo journalistic style, which means that we will do a few posed shots of your child, we prefer to watch them, interact with them, and capture through our lens those moments that parents will want to hold on to forever.

It is always appreciated if parents not focus on their child, just watch us and we will get that great expression and your child’s attention.

We strive to always make our session fun and exciting so that your children love being photographed. Please feel free to bring their favorite toy, stuffed animal or blanket and treats to the session. We also have lots of props to make them happy.

This is an awesome couple and the wedding was so beautiful. Of course months ago we had our engagement session and I really got to know Heather and Dave. The day could not have been more perfect and as the sun was about to set we headed out to Old Sacramento for a fun session on the river an awesome ending to a perfect wedding.

This was such a fun session and it really was three times the fun. The weather could not have been any better here in El Dorado County. Natures soft-box with such beautiful lighting. Everyone had fun even if a few were feeling a bit under the weather. I am looking forward to more fun family portrait sessions.

We met down near Rainbbow Bridge for a wonderful evening family portrait session. I have the best clients and I enjoy making memories for my families more than anything. The Treat's are such a sweet family who always make my sessions fun. This evening was no different and the weather could'nt have been any better. Looking forward to October and fun birthday celebrations.

I had the wonderful honor of taking engagement portraits for this lovely couple. The wedding is planned for late summer early fall so the colors are just going to be amazing. These two were such fun to work with and so relaxed that the wedding is going to be such a wonderful event.
